Labour Market Monitor 2018 – EU in a nutshell
This Executive Summary is based on the report ‘Labour Market Monitor 2018’ – a Europe-wide Labour Market Monitoring System updated annually. This year’s update of the report, primarily analysing European data from 2017, is based on the Labour Market Monitor model developed and validated by a team of experts of the Vienna Chamber of Labour (AK) and ETUI (European Trade Union Institute) in cooperation with the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) in 2010. The tool comprises five indices, capturing five core dimensions of the labour market, and is aimed at monitoring labour market acivities in all the European Member States. The five indices are:
- Overall labour market performance (7 indicators)
- Participation (13 indicators)
- Exclusion risks on the labour market (20 indicators)
- Distribution of earnings (8 indicators)
- Redistribution through the Welfare State (10 indicators)
This Executive Summary gives an overview of the current results of the five area indices and contains numerous graphs, cartographic charts and tables.
